I go by the name Lankist. My EVE Online character is named Kayne Tor. I am a semi-retired Confidence Man to EVE Online. I prowled the sectors of New Eden for about two years before deciding to lay low and play legitimately.
I started my experience in New Eden as a Caldari Industrial character. I joined a corporation and hung out for several months, but after getting fed up with corporate bullshit and drama I decided to cut ties and go my own way. It was a small, tight-knit corp going through its death throes, having only several hundred million ISK in its wallets, but I had solidified my position within the corp by that point and had access to almost everything. I took everything I could and transferred it all to a new character named Kayne. I was sloppy, I had to ditch the character I spent months grooming, but I was rich by my own modest standards. And thus was my first Heist.
From that point I went pirate. I wasn't very good at it. In fact I don't recall ever making a successful ransom. But in my incompetence I found my love affair with the Rifter. I decided: to hell with battleships and carriers, all I want is a Rifter. And so I bought some Rifters. A lot of Rifters. Fitted each and every one of them as an expendable frigate and found my wallet running on empty. I asked myself, what can I do with all of these Rifters?
And then it hit me. The best time I had in EVE was pissing off my old corp mates and running away with their measly lumps of cash. And so I made an alt. And another. And from then on I spent my time in New Eden scamming, conning, stealing and pissing people off. I am by no means a master of EVE Online's underbelly of subterfuge, to this I make no claim. I am relatively low on ISK, in fact, keeping only about 300m in my wallet for emergency purposes. Everything else I spend and waste almost immediately. I don't care about the money, it isn't real money. I care about the chase. The deception. Proving an intellectual superiority and the ability to think on one's feet.
On my main character I currently reside in a small dummy corp entitled Completely Legitimate Establishment, and find myself completely surprised when people don't even take a second glance at my corporate history. Before you decide to declare war on LGIT or come after Kayne Tor, know that I have nothing worth taking but some cheaply fitted Rifters and I rarely leave my favorite little High-Sec station on that character.
